Meet Nancy

I'm Nancy.   I just turned 65 and I live in Smithville, Texas. I work in the accounting office of a local electric cooperative. I'm married to Ted, also known as "the teller of corny jokes." He's retired and enjoying it!

We have two sons - Morgan, who lives in Spokane, WA with my terrific daughter-in-law, Carrie and my wonderful granddaughter, Emily - and Josh, who lives in Smithville and lets me take care of his Corgi, Clive, on a regular basis.

I have two sisters - Susan, who lives in Sunset Valley (Austin, TX area), and Rebecca, who lives in Flagstaff, AZ. They recently joined Ted and me on a cruise and made it a lot of fun. I also have a brother, Fritz, who lives in Round Rock, TX.

I like to go on cruises and I love to read and paint, although I don't get around to painting very often. I'm pretty lazy, I don't like to sweat, or to be in the sun.

I like dogs and cats. I love my granddogs Clive (Corgi) and Max (Golden Retriever) and my dog Crazy Cheetah Girl Cheyenne. I love my cats, too, Stevie Ray, our indoor cat, and Goober, the barn cat.

I like to listen to classical music as well as Bob Dylan, Lyle Lovett, Brudder Iz, and Patsy Cline, among others.

Some of my favorite books are those by John Irving, Larry McMurtry, and lots of others I can't remember right now.
